Adventure to Bali & Indonesia

FIRST LEG: Days 1-3
Arrival day. Meet at the airport then off to the Uluwatu area where will check into our accommodations. Then warm introductions and welcome dinner in the evening.
In the morning, we take an outing to the picturesque Bingin beach. Later, after lunch, we visit of the Uluwatu temple. In the evening we will sit for the Kecak traditional dance show at sunset.
After breakfast, we will depart from Uluwatu to Padang Bai harbor and hop on a speed boat to Lombok, the next island over to visit the village of Sembalun Lawang. There we will be taken in and cared for by our lovely local guides who will introduce us to the culture and local intricacies. Later in the evening, we will have a briefing about our adventure to Rinjani and what that will look like.
SECOND LEG:Days 4-7
DESTINATION: Mount Rinjani
Rinjani Volcano Climb — 7am departure time for our 6 hour hike. The first 3 hours is a slow ascent through open grasslands. We stop for lunch at 1500 meters in Tengengean. Then continue for another 5 hours on the trail with wild pigs and macaque monkeys until we reach camp on the the Plawan Sembalun Crater rim at 2639 meters. Here where we will set up camp to star gaze for the night.
Wake up at 3am for another 3 hour hike to the summit of Mount Rinjani (3726 meters) to catch the sunrise on one of the most heart-breaking views you've ever seen. Afterwards, we will hike down the ridge alongside edelweiss plants at our footside and have breakfast. We have another 3 hour hike to the crater lake where we set camp at 2000 meters in Segara Anak and enjoy a nicely prepared dinner by our local crew.
Most of the day will be spent the exploring the crater, swimming in natural hot springs - believed by the locals to have healing powers, exploring caves, practicing yoga, and sitting through a guided meditation. We will also plan to spend few hours collecting plastic to decrease our human impact.
We will spend the day climbing down for a long 6 hour hike to the Senaru village. This trail is dense with rich tropical forest full of rare flora, birds, butterflies, orchids, and possibly a sighting of illusive ebony leaf monkey. After our hike, we reach Gili Air, Turtle Island, by boat to recover from the hike and enjoy snorkeling with turtles before the sun sets.

THIRD LEG: DAY 8
Destination: Beaches of Gili Air
Free day on the pristine white beaches of Gili Air, an island where the only transportation is by bicycles and small wagons by horse. Here we are free to explore, breathe, and gather some alone time or you do as you wish.
FOURTH LEG: Days 9-10
Destinations: island to ISLAND BY BOAT
Get ready - early morning departure for 3 days of adventure aboard a local fisherman boat where we are full-on pirates, spending the next three nights on the deck of the boat! Semi-pampered pirates, as all of our sleeping equipment, meals, and scenery are provided by our boat crew. We sail along the gorgeous Lombock coast and arrive in the middle of the day to Moyo Island where we will trek to the secluded Moyo waterfall and enjoy some amazing snorkelling at Satonga island. Afterwards, we sail all night to Laba Island whilst sleeping boat-side.
We start the early morning with a quick 30 minutes hike to a view-point of the island and then off back on the boat to Manta point and the famous Red beach where we will spend the rest of the day snorkeling, getting close with manta rays and witness the beauty of Red sand beach. We then sail during the night and head for the famous Komodo Island.
FIFTH LEG: Day 11
Destination: Komodo ISLAND
Welcome to the Komodo National Park, home of the world famous komodo dragon. We will spend the day visiting the park of komodo island and hiking the dragon trail on the near-by Rinca Island. We will stop for a quick snorkel on an island near by. We have a night arrival in Lubuan Banjo (Flores) to spend the last night on the boat together for a final dinner with our boat crew.
FINAL LEG: Days 12-13
Early flight from Flores back to Bali where we will explore the Ubud area walking about artist markets and tasting food from local food vendors. Shifting into rest and relaxation mode - we will spend the rest of the afternoon getting massages at one of the most beautiful spas on the island.
On our last day, we take off in the morning to pay homage to the monkeys in the forest - it's a "must do" when you are visiting Ubud. We will spend our lunch at the famous Sari, an organic restaurant, in the middle of a rice field. Later that day, we visit the village of Tempakserin, home to some of the most talented and skillful bone carving artisans. There we will explore two of the most beautiful temples in Bali. Bathing in the holy waters of the water temple and resting our eyes the astonishing shrines of Gunung Kawi, a temple dating from the 11th century. Alas, after the day is through, we sit for an amazing farewell dinner hosted by our local beloved Balinese Mama. We will hug and cry, eat and drink - sad that it's all over...
