Is the French philosophy of the joy of living.

It is the art of good conversation, good food, good wine -

LEG ONE:

3 days - 2 nights  |  1 Location  |  Activities: Medieval Tour, Castle Tour, Wine & Cognac Tasting, Night Market Dinner  |  Terrain: Countryside

Day One
Arrival day. Meeting at Toulouse square cafe at noon over a café au lait before we head to our private castle. You'll have some time to land and settle in before welcome drinks and dinner made by our own private chef.
Day Two
Wake up born again as a Frenchie - breakfast and coffee in a castle. If it suits you, join us in historic visit of the medieval town of Vianne. If not, hang and enjoy the grounds, the day, the air. We will be back to grab you for our afternoon trip to Chateau du Frandat for cognac and Floc de Gascogne. Later in the early evening, we will head to Nerac and do some solo dinner hunting at the local farmer's market while a live band plays for us and random, sweet townies hand us drinks throughout the night.

LEG TWO:

3 days - 2 nights  |  1 Locations  |  Activities: Canoeing, Hiking, Rest & Relaxation  |  Terrain: Mountains, Rivers

Day Three
Another lovely, morning breakfast at the castle. Afterwards, a leisurely 2 hour canoe trip down the river that surrounds the town of Nerac. Before our 2.5 hour road trip to our next location, we'll head to our chef's private home for lunch. We will arrive at our Manor early evening.
Day Four
This day will mostly be spent as free time. You'll have breakfast and spend the day wandering the grounds, reading, resting, and chatting it up with fellow travelers as you like. Lunch and dinner will follow accordingly. Stretching and hydration is suggested in preparation for the hike the next day.
Day Five
We will wake up early and have breakfast before hiking one of the most beautiful trails in southern France. The 5 hour round trip hike to the secluded Lake of Estraens will feature wild horses against a majestic view of the Pyrenees.

LEG THREE:

3 days - 2 nights  |  1 Locations  |  Activities: Caving, Exploring, Shopping, Farewell Dinner  | Terrain: Countryside, Rivers

Day Six
Our last breakfast at the Manor will be early before heading off to the Grottes de Bétharram. After the cave tour, we journey on to our next destination, the magestic Medieval city of Carcassone. We will stop along the way for a picnic lunch with wine.
Day Seven
Our last full day will have us exploring the labyrinth of cobblestone roads inside walls built during Gallo-Roman times. We will venture to all things medieval -  La Citégive, Château Comtal, Basilica of Saints Nazarius and Celsus. Look out at the historic Canal du Midi. Wander in museums, shops, and creperies. And since Carcassonne is in the center of the world’s largest wine region, you'll get to enjoy that as well. Our farewell/family dinner follows in the evening with toasts and celebrations for our last night of the trip together.
Day Eight
A final French breakfast before heading back to Toulouse to catch flights home or to next leg of personal journies. Bon Voyage!
